Share training and see who finished, without an LMS
Publish a HippoKit kit as a course and send its link to your group. Learners enrol with an email, work through the material, and you get a list of who started and who finished each format.
How it works
Make or open a kit
Generate a kit from your material, or open one you already have.
Publish it as a course
Turn on the course link and send it to your learners. They enrol with an email; they do not need a HippoKit account.
See who finished
Open the kit’s sharing dashboard to see who enrolled and, for each format, who started and who completed it.
Good to know
- A finished kit is public by link, and can be found by search engines, unless you set it to private from its share menu.
- This is not an LMS. There is no SCORM or xAPI export, no certificates and no integration with other systems.
- Learner emails are not verified: the list shows what each person typed. Progress is recorded per format; there is no single course-level status or pass mark.
- The quiz keeps its print link on the shared page, and the printout includes the answer key. Do not use the quiz score as a test result.
- You are responsible for the learner emails you collect. Learners can remove their email from a course at any time.
- Completion shows that someone went through the material. It does not prove what they learned.
Questions
How can I track training completion without an LMS?
Publish a HippoKit kit as a course link. Learners enrol with an email, and the kit’s sharing dashboard lists who enrolled and, for each format, who started and who finished. There is no single course-level score or pass mark.
Do learners need an account?
No. Learners enter an email to enrol and agree to a short notice. They do not need a HippoKit account, and they can remove their email from the course at any time. Emails are not verified, so the list shows what each learner typed.
Is this a replacement for an LMS?
No. It is a light way to hand over training and see who finished. There is no SCORM or xAPI export, no certificates and no integration with HR systems.
Who can see the learner list?
Only the owner of the kit. The shared course page is not indexed by search engines, but the kit itself is public by default: unless you set it to private, anyone with the kit link can open it without enrolling.
